Soak it with Bleach
One of the best ways to clean your garden hose is to use bleach. There are many different kinds of bleach so try to get the most natural, as your garden hose will be sitting in your get or at least on your lawn, and you don’t want the hose to be exposing toxic chemicals to your lawn.
One easy way to soak your garden hose in bleach is to use a small kitty pool or a large bucket. You want to immerse the entire garden hose in bleach for over 24 hours to remove everything that’s been on it.
If your garden hose is over 50 feet long, then you will trouble to find a proper container that it will fit in.
Scrub it with a good brush

After that throw it back into the tub for a few more hours and repeat the process. The color should stay the same, if not you got the original color of the garden hose.
The last thing you’re going to want to do is clean the inside of the garden hose. In the video, you can see the man use a pipe cleaner to clean it out. Doing this can be a challenging and many people may just opt to run bleach through the whole thing to clean it.
You can use a long brush such as the one pictured here to jam into your hose. Simply put a bleach soaked pad onto the end and use the long pipe cleaner to clean out any dirt inside.
This can be a difficult process and may require a longer brush. Simply get one that is the length of your hose and you will be fine.
